Anglesey 8th June 2007

During the time between Oulton and Anglesey my enthusiam for Nicole started to dissappear. Had I chosen the wrong direction going for a hard-core racecar, and would she ever be reliable enough to allow me to enjoy her without constant (and costly) maintenance?

Luckily I had chosen well with YozzaSport for the preparation, and while the box was off for repair there we a number of minor changes recommended by Andrew Hughes (Yozza himself) which would ensure that Nicole was at full fitness at Anglesey.

First up was the replacing of all wheel studs and bolts, as their history was unknown. Then replacing the passenger seat fittings, as the SRE work has been less that satisfactory. The accessory belts were also warn, so they were replaced as a precaution.

In addition to this there were a long list of "non-critical" items, but as most of these related to the racing aspects of the car (e.g. seats and saftey belts out of date) they were deferred till a later date.

So Nicole and her gearbox were finally re-united, all fluids were changed and a full spanner check was carried out. She was finally ready for collection and for the next (important) step in the saga.
